Please do consider completing a Gift Aid declaration form when making a donation. Gift Aid is a Government scheme which allows charities to reclaim from HM Revenue & Customs the basic rate income tax that you have already paid on your donation. Despite recent changes in the rate of income tax, if you Gift Aid your donation The Sheppard Trust will continue to receive an extra 28p for every pound you give. The Trust can claim Gift Aid tax relief of 25p on every pound. HMRC will also be operating transitional provisions for Gift Aid donations made from 6 April 2008 until 5 April 2011, paying a Government supplement of 3p on every pound.
The Sheppard Trust is also part of the CAF Charity Card scheme and you may wish to donate in this way.

By making a bequest in your will, you can help the Trust to maintain its distinguished record of service to needy and elderly ladies. We suggest the following suitable form of words:
“I bequeath to The Sheppard Trust of 12 Lansdowne Walk, London, W11 3LN, the sum of £, which sum I direct to be applied for the purpose of the said Charity, the receipt of the Treasurer thereof to be a good discharge to my executors.”
